Why Should I Enroll in Medicare Part D?
The best place to start is the facts!
This is the third year that Medicare has offered Part D
drug plans. Many people continue to feel that since they don’t use that many drugs, why bother enrolling? Well, there are several reasons that you must consider when making this important decision.
1. At www.MyPartDusa.com we have helped hundreds of Medicare benficiaries this year alone, who thought they didn’t need a drug plan until an unexpected illness happened in the months Medicare would not accept new enrollments. They come to us with sudden high costs for prescriptions and cannot get on a Medicare Part D Drug Plan until the AEP or Annual Enrollment Period of November 15-December 31st of each year. That is why you carry car insurance, just in case you get into an accident. It is the same way with Medicare Part D. Don’t wait until you need it!!
2. THE PENALTY! Medicare will tag on 1% per month for each month you are elibible and DO NOT enroll in a Medicare Part D Drug Plan
. This penalty will increase your premium by that percentage for as long as you have your drug plan. If you were eligible and did not join a Part D plan last year 2006, you will pay a penalty of 1% or $2.25 per month on your premium for 2007. This penalty will continue to accrue until you join. This penalty is meant to be “encouragement” for you to make joining a priority. None of us know what the future holds, so get the coverage before you need it.
3. Peace of Mind. When you find your drug plan and you have confidence it will be in place in case you need it, there will be no more worry or concern about this very important decision.free specieslake dead download
