WATCH FOR MEDICARE TOURS
You may see a Medicare Tour in your town coming soon!!! Medicare is rolling out the buses and getting aid from the Boy Scouts. The Boy Scouts will be canvassing cities and neighborhoods door to door next week as part of a mission to alert senior citizens about the upcoming open enrollment of the federal Medicare prescription drug program.
If you see or hear of a tour in your area and you have questions about Medicare Part D, you may need to attend.
They are especially concerned for the seniors that could qualify for the low-income “extra help” programs but don’t realize they could utilize this benefit.

“This is the 3rd annual election period that we’re just getting ready to kick off for folks to look at the medicare benefits, see what we have available to them and choose a Part D or a Medicare Advantage Plan, if that’s what’s best for them,” said Roseanne Egan, administrator for Centers For Medicare. “This is the time of year that we want folks to look at what they have. Has something in their life changed so that their benefits are no longer appropriate for them, or has their plan changed?”
