HELP FOR LOW INCOME MEDICARE PART D DRUG PLAN BENEFICIARIES, PASS IT ON!

IF YOU WORK WITH ANYONE THAT QUALIFIED FOR MEDICARE PART D DRUG ASSISTANCE, PLEASE TELL THEM ABOUT THIS BLOG, ESPECIALLY THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE:

In January, hundreds of thousands of low income people with Medicare will learn at the pharmacy counter that they have been switched to a new Part D prescription drug plan that does NOT cover drugs that they need.

For many of these individuals, it will be deja vu, reminding them of the winter of 2006, when they were abruptly dropped form Medicaid and put on a Part D plan.

Why is this happening?

1.6 million low income people with Medicare are enrolled in a Part D plan that will charge a premium in 2008 that is too high to qualify for a full subsidy. Current law requires that these people be randomly reassigned-without regard to whether the plan covers their medicines – amoung the Part D plans with premiums low enough to qualify for a full subsidy.

I have written about this before in other blogs…please refer to them again!

It is imperative that these folks get on a Part D Plan for 2008 that they will not get kicked off of because the premium is over the coverage limit and put on a plan that may not cover thier meds.

They need a COMPARISON!! Please let them know about My Part D USA and to go to the website or all call us toll free at 866-752-1795.

It is bad enough that they are being randomly reassigned, not to mention that their drugs may not be covered.
