GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR DRUG PLAN IN 2008
If you have changed your drug plan for 2008 and take a drug that is NOT on the new formulary or has step therapy or prior authorization
rules, please know that your drug plan must ensure that you have uninterrupted access to your medications. Plans must cover at least a 30-day supply
of drugs that are in these categories. You need to make sure you take advantage of this policy.
Mrs. Harris During this time you can ask your doctor to find a medication that is on your formulary for your illness or you will need to ask for an “exception” using a letter from your doctor to your drug plan.
We hope that you have a smooth transition from one plan to the next. If you waited until later in December to change your drug plan you may not have received your new card to take to the pharmacy. You must save your receipts
and your new drug plan will re-emburse you for these costs.
