There are some pharmaceutical companies that offer free or low-cost drugs to people who qualify with low incomes. These programs are call Patient Assistance Programs. Some of these Programs will accept people who have a Medicare Part D Plan. If you want to find out if you could get this assistance and how it works, go to Medicare’s list of Patient Assistance Programs
at:
www.medicare.gov/pap/index.asp.
These programs have income levels that are not as low as government assistance. If you get turned down for Federal Drug Assistance, you can also apply to your state HIPPA office. I have all these numbers listed by state in the “categories” section of this web-log.
There are so many people who do not even know about these programs that could help them and make such a difference in their quality of life. download superman returns online

If you have changed your drug plan for 2008 and take a drug that is NOT on the new formulary or has step therapy or prior authorization
rules, please know that your drug plan must ensure that you have uninterrupted access to your medications. Plans must cover at least a 30-day supply
of drugs that are in these categories. You need to make sure you take advantage of this policy.
During this time you can ask your doctor to find a medication that is on your formulary for your illness or you will need to ask for an “exception” using a letter from your doctor to your drug plan.
We hope that you have a smooth transition from one plan to the next. If you waited until later in December to change your drug plan you may not have received your new card to take to the pharmacy. You must save your receipts
and your new drug plan will re-emburse you for these costs.
Please read all the other drug savings tips located in the “categories” section on the left side of this web-log better known as a BLOG. You will find many ways to stretch your savings and stay out of the “donut hole” as long as possible this year!
